From our Roland drum kit, QSC Main Speakers and Subs, to our Shure and SE Mics. Each piece of equipment is chosen for it’s time-tested reliability and quality. Driven by our Midas 32c mixer we have all the best processing and audio at our finger tips.
86 the Crazy Karl’s
Everybody knows crazy Karl. He’s the guy with the refrigerator sized guitar amp named Bertha, turned up so loud that Front of House has to crank up the volume of everything else just to balance the levels. The result: 103+ decibels of Karl, his crazy hair, and a mediocre mix. This begs the question; Who’s really in control?
Cover City provides a crisp clean mix at all volumes; our secret is in our philosophy. “Eliminate as much stage noise as possible to achieve the perfect sound”. You will see no Bertha’s or stage monitors on our sets. Each musician has his own set of in-ear monitors eliminating the need for noisy stage wedges and amps. As for drums we, use a Roland high-end TD series V-Drum kit which eliminates all those stage mics. Put it all together and you get a pristine mix where each drum-beat and each shredding guitar solo goes exactly where it’s supposed to. From Source to Mains, and nowhere else. The result is a pristine mix with hammering drum beats, monster guitar solos, sweet harmonies and crisp clear vocals. The best part; No “Crazy Karl’s” hijacking the mix.

We are a fun loving laid-back easy-going group of guys who love to bring our love of music to others. We have over 100+ years of musical experience between us. Each of us have played with multiple bands over the years. We bring a lifetime of experience and a fun-loving attitude to each show, with monster drum-beats and bass you can feel. Topped off with pristine vocals and sweet harmonies. And in the middle of it all, two lead guitars shredding away, going toe-to-toe. It doesn’t get much better than this.

Dedicated Sound Engineers
Cover City uses dedicated audio engineers for Front of House Audio. It’s very difficult for on-stage musicians to react to the ever-changing dynamics of great songs. Lets face it, it sounds very different behind the speakers than in front. Cover City uses Front of House audio engineers who can react to the dynamics of a song and adjust the levels and processing to achieve the very best overall sound.
